So here is the recipe for the cheese cake that chef Kippi prepared in the kitchen yesterday:
For the crust:
2 cups of flour, all purpose flour
1/ cup sugar
3 sticks butter, maybe a bit more
Put all the ingredients in the bowl of your stand mixer or a bowl, use the dough attachment or your hands and mix well, until you have a nice dough…maybe you need a bit more butter.
Preheat the oven to 350 ( mine was 375 from the lasagna, hence the tan, too much tan for the cake)
Butter a springform nicely and put parchment paper down and press the dough in the form, make sure to go up the sides well.
For the filling:
2 containers of white cheese or something called quark ( liberty has some)
1 cup of sugar
A splash of vanilla extract
Mix well and fill the prepared springform
Bake for 30 – 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let sit for about 5 minutes.
Turn upside down on a wire rack and let sit for 10 minutes, remove the springform and paper, let sit for another 10 minutes and turn over on a plate…tastes good warm, but even better cold.
